say something about you if you are continuously late for meetings, always blaming the traffic, sitting accessing your messages on your cellphone under the boardroom table, and
so on. ( I could wax lyrical for ages here). There is a huge difference here between your self important egotist who has fallen into the trap of believing his own ‘carp’ about himself and walks around expecting the world to grovel at his feet. They really believe that simply because they have made a chunk of money,  or enjoyed one or two successes on their own chosen path that they are now exempt from social etiquette and can prance around displaying appalling manners to all and sundry! Not nice! But there are plenty of them. On the other hand, displaying an importance of self, and showing that you have respect for yourself in your CONDUCT and your interaction with others, is something that most of us can and should continuously work on! I do believe that we are all ‘works in progress’, and should therefore, become aware of our behaviours and consciously adjust them from time to time! I, like many others, sometimes struggle with my emotions and the impact that they can have on others, in day to day negotiations and interactions with various people from different walks of life. However, it is in the lesson of accepting full accountability for the situations in which we find ourselves, that we genuinely grow. In my experience, awareness……………..is not a common trait practiced or observed by us humans. I have found it very interesting to observe that people who are constantly striving to better themselves, making an effort to be all they can be, have a tendency to display more importance of self(generally), than those that truly believe that the world owes them a living! …………..Anyhow……………….just an observation! Any thoughts on this subject?
